Mobile cross-platform application for medical educational service Medx.pro. Task SBHI Moscow Clinical Scientific Center of City Health Department named after A.S. Loginov, and MedInvestGroup in 2020 launched the advanced training website for doctors and medical workers MedX.pro. The project is an advanced training institute and, within the framework of continuing medical education (CME), implements support for full-time training, online broadcasts, testing, asynchronous e-learning, and group work of students in the main areas of medicine.  In the short term we were to implement a mobile version (an application) for the portal in order to increase the availability of courses and receive CME points for specialists. Our work The customers came to us in the midst of a pandemic, in March 2020. After several meetings in Zoom and discussion of application requirements, we chose Flutter, a cross-platform solution for implementing applications. Medx.pro was based on the open source platform Moodle, a course management system. The platform has a mobile application, but unfortunately, it has not been in line with up-to-date system guidelines for a long time and is not customizable.   Development stages  In the first sprint, the main modules of the service were implemented - viewing courses and testing. Courses contain both text data and media content such as videos, mp3 audio files, pdf documents, and interactive presentations. Student testing supports 7 types of answers to questions.  Course and test screens Экран курса и теста In the second sprint, we worked on the user profile, calendar of events and live broadcasts, and favourite screens, and also on the main screen with news and lecture materials. The user can add to favourites not only course topics, but also questions from tests, news and video lectures. Home Screen, Calendar and User Favorites Главный экран, Календарь и Избранное пользователя At the next stage, we needed to enable In-App purchase for courses in AppStore. But there was a problem - Moodle did not offer plugins for integration with Apple. We created our own microservice to pay for courses. We also had to implement in the microservice Oauth authorization through social networks. Service for online testing in the format of the USE and SFE. Amount of development hours: 2400 hours Task The company “Humanitarian Technologies” specializes in profile and career guidance testing. We needed to develop a service for trial preparatory testing of USE and SFE (in the present OSE). Our work We analyzed the previous testing system of company. It was much outdated, so the customer and we decided to create a testing service from scratch. First, we created the editor of test materials, which contains LaTeX, a specialized markup language. Materials have their own structure, divided into parts, with a description of the block of questions, a description of the concrete question, comments for the participant on the structure of filling in and completing the task. Great work was done for the constructor of various types of questions and answers. For example, in addition to a standard answer choice, test material may contain an answer with a limited number of characters or, conversely, with a detailed answer. In matters, We implemented to questions the support of audio files and the possibility of response of the video and audio format necessary for listening in English In order for schoolchildren and students to be able to take face-to-face testing, we added the ability to print test materials and forms in accordance with GOST in the service. Students fill out the forms manually, then the forms are loaded into the system, scanned and the result is formed. The Unified State Examination and SFE (OSE) involves the calculation of the primary points received for each answer on a 100 point scale. In our system, this calculation occurs automatically. Roles       System administrator;  Creator of testing materials;  Partner - a role for educational centers that test the partnership program. They have access to ready-made testing materials and the results of people,  Experts - evaluate questions with an open answer (B and C) on their topic;  Students - have limited access to the testing materials issued to partners. Students can take a test both in the testing center and from their PC or mobile device. At the final stage, we organized a billing system that automatically calculates the cost of services depending on the tariff. Tariffs are created in the constructor. The administrator can form primary and closing documents in a couple of clicks.

Cross-platform application for buying and reading books on the topic of auto business with audiobook support. Task We needed to make an application for purchase and reading books in PDF format, which wouldn't allow transferring expensive and unique for the Russian market books about auto-business from one user to another. Our work After a couple of meetings with the customer, we got a definite picture of the future application. We chose a cross-platform solution for implementation: complex functionality was not planned in the application, and the books were about to enter the market, therefore a quick decision was needed so that readers could immediately have an alternative in the form of an electronic version. AGILE development We start all projects from a mockup in Figma. The designer drew screens for the first version of the application. This helped us “to be on the same wave” with the customer and quickly make adjustments to the logic of the application. Future application mockup Next came the design layout. The publisher already had a brandbook, so we used the color scheme and key elements from it for the layout of the future application. We used the pixel-art technique only in the headings of the sections and icons of the bottom navigation menu so as not to lose readability inside the application. Pixel art In the first sprint we implemented features related to the purchase and reading of books, and also news sections and the user's personal account. We introduced In-App purchase for selling books. The development of an administrative website to manage the user purchases and the announcements of events with the authors of books went in parallel with the application. The list of books and PDF-reader of the application It was important for us to allow reading books in the application without access to the Internet. After buying the books are unloaded into the device cache and remain available in offline mode.  6 weeks passed from the beggining of the work on the mockup and the first demonstration of the application version to the customer. In the second sprint, we made a chat with technical support - it was important for the publishing house to keep in touch with readers. The chat was also connected with the second important functionality of the stage - training materials and tests on them. Trainings serve as a kind of bonus for users who bought books. Tests for training material and chat with technical support As part of the protection against the transfer of books from reader to reader, we made a check of the accessibility of the book to a specific device - we check it by Device ID for Android and IOS advertising identifier. Since the user has the possibility of changing the identifier on the device, you can get a book for reading again only through a technical support chat. It took us another 6 weeks to implement chats, training and questionnaires. A little more than 3 months passed since the start of work on the application and the first release in the AppStore and Google Play stores. At the beginning of 2021, the publishing house decided to add audio versions of books to the application. We understood that the audio files were heavy, so we made we organized the streaming of such books to a mobile client with the ability of rewinding. We worked with an audio player, reproduced audio in the background, brought audio to the notifications and the lock screen, added speed-ups and slow-downs to the audio track. We needed to develop a management system, which includes the CRM system, warehouse accounting, staff control, menu and nomenclature, and electronic menu for visitors. Our work To begin with, we analyzed existing systems, such as iiko and Quick Resto. They did not suit our client because they did not provide flexible settings and loyalty systems, or an electronic menu for visitors.They were not portable for use on tablets and did not provide operational access to analytics. That is why we decided to develop a custom system. Control system 1. Booking grid. Quick access to booking control and hall occupancy. The manager and waiters see the full picture of the day and can create an order by several clicks directly in the grid. 2. Services and goods section. Services are linked to the technological map.
